Hello everyone,

I wish I could replicate these tiny alder cones. That would be some miniscule stitching.

I do have some of my pine cones ready, however, and I will be adding them to the shop tomorrow morning (Wednesday, November 11) at around 9 am PST. There will be a couple of animals as well.

I hope everyone had a chance to look at the amazing Come Darkness show curated by MAV. My piece has sold, but there are many other beautiful items to choose from—all $100 or under. It's incredible how well it all came together, a feast for the eyes.

This is my absolute favorite time of year. I snapped this photo on our bike ride to school this morning. Fog + fall color. Nothing better.

I have been working on some new small things for the holiday shop, but I'm just not 100% happy with them yet. They might be great, and I'm just too tired to notice, you know? I'm not sure yet. I am going to take a week off and re-group and work on our house (look for some updates on our kitchen over at shelter next week) and a few other things.

I will still update the shop tomorrow at around 10 am with a few animals like this handsome fella:

In other news, I've been meaning to mention that 3191: Evenings was officially released last week which means books are available and are being shipped immediately. Thank you to all the people who pre-ordered the book and have been sharing it and giving such great feedback.

Also, I am really excited to be included in the show Come Darkness, curated by MAV. It will be hung at the lovely shop chelliswilson in Portland, Maine in November and all work will be available online.

That shop update I planned for Tuesday? Not happening. Once again, I've bitten off a little bit more than I can chew. I'd really like to finish up some of the things that I had planned, so I'm rescheduling it for Friday morning. Thanks for understanding.

Hey folks,

My week's plans were derailed by a sick kid, so, while I'll still open up shop tomorrow, I will only be stocking pine cones. Look for another update Tuesday, October 20th with animals, more pine cones if these sell, and a few other surprises. Photos coming this weekend.

i know it's early...

...but I am working on items for my holiday collection. It's my hope that I can take a few weeks off in December to make things for friends and family (heck, I might make something for myself—I don't even have a pine cone!), so I am trying to get an early start. These are not strictly holiday items, but are a bit more opulent than usual—pine cones in dupioni silk, for example. I will also be making a variety of animals, perhaps soft trees, and I'm experimenting with ornaments and decorations like the feather above.

My first update to the holiday shop will be on Thursday (October 15th) at around 10 am PST. Thank you so much for your continued support and interest. It means the world to me right now.
