fun news!

Hello!

I wanted to take a moment to thank all the wonderful people, those close to me and those I've never met, that have been so supportive of A Year of Mornings and have taken the time to share it with others. It means a great deal to me.

I thought Alison Arief's piece at The New York Times was pretty special and a good reflection of how Maria and I feel about this project.

I will be taking a break from my shop for the remainder of the year to continue celebrating 3191 and to focus on some new projects. The response to The Calling Cards Collection was really great. I had so much fun creating those guys! I will miss it, but I'm ready to try some new things.

This evening Maria will close the 3191-mile gap between us and arrive in Oregon. You can follow our adventures together here for the next two weeks. So excited.

For those of you in Portland, I'm hoping to see you at Life + Limb this Thursday, October 30th from 6-9 pm. Maria and I will be signing books and would love to meet you. Twelve framed prints of photo pairs from the book will also be on display and for sale the entire month of November. We're really excited about these and hope you will be as well. If you're not in Portland, Molly from Life + Limb will have them available for purchase through her web site or check our book site later in the week for more details.

Cheers! I'll be back in this space in November.

Miss Emma Jeane Wilkins

I wanted so much to make an elephant out of this beautiful Liberty fabric, but the design just did not work well with the fine lawn fabric. She's so sad and deflated.

I was able to use some pretty Liberty fabrics on Miss Emma Jeane Wilkins. She's in the shop now.
More soon!
